UNC Chapel Hill Permit <br /> submitted on EPA form 8700-13 A/B. The report must cover facility activities during the previous <br /> calendar year. <br /> H. MANIFEST SYSTEM <br /> 1. The Permittee shall utilize the manifest system when receiving hazardous waste from off-site <br /> in accordance with 40 CFR 264.71 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109 unless the Permittee <br /> submits an unmanifested waste report in accordance with 40 CFR 264.76 as adopted in 15A <br /> NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> 2. The Permittee shall report any manifest discrepancies in accordance with 40 CFR 264.72 as <br /> adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> I. DEFINITIONS <br /> For purposes of this permit, terms used herein shall have the same meaning as those in the North <br /> Carolina Hazardous Waste Management Rules and Solid Waste Management Law unless this <br /> permit specifically provides otherwise; where terms are not defined in 15A NCAC 13A, G.S. 130A <br /> - Article 9, the permit, or United States Environmental Protection Agency guidance documents and <br /> publications, the meaning associated with such terms shall be defined by a standard dictionary <br /> reference or the generally accepted scientific or industrial meaning of the term. <br /> Corrective Action shall be defined as all activities including activities conducted beyond the <br /> facility boundary, that are proposed or implemented to facilitate assessment, monitoring, and active <br /> or passive remediation of releases of hazardous waste or hazardous constituents to soil, <br /> groundwater, surface water, or the atmosphere associated with Hazardous Waste Management <br /> Units (HWMUs), Solid Waste Management Units (SWMUs), and/or Areas of Concern(ADCs) <br /> located at the facility or off-site, as required by 40 CFR 264.100 and 264.101 and adopted in 15A <br /> NCAC 13A .0109 or as otherwise required and specified by this permit. <br /> J. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION <br /> The Permittee may claim confidential any information required to be submitted by this permit in <br /> accordance with 40 CFR 270.12 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0113. <br /> K. APPROVAL/DISAPPROVAL OF SUBMITTALS <br /> The Department will review the workplans, reports, schedules, and other documents ("submittals") <br /> which require the Department's approval in accordance with the conditions of this permit. The <br /> Department will notify the Permittee in writing of any submittal that is disapproved, and the basis <br /> therefore. Condition I.L. shall apply only to submittals that have been disapproved and revised by <br /> the Department, or have been disapproved by the Department, then revised and resubmitted by the <br /> Permittee, and again disapproved by the Department. <br /> I-6 <br />
