UNC Chapel Hill Permit <br /> I. Required Equipment <br /> The Permittee shall equip the facility and make readily available to operating personnel the <br /> necessary equipment to carry out the contingency plan, as described in Part G of the Application. <br /> At all times, the equipment requirement described in 40 CFR 264.32 as adopted in 15A NCAC <br /> 13A .0109 shall be met. <br /> J. Testing and Maintenance of Equipment <br /> The Permittee shall test and maintain the equipment specified in the previous permit condition and <br /> as identified in Part F of the Application as necessary to ensure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. <br /> K. Access to Communications or Alarm System <br /> The Permittee shall maintain access to the communications or alarm system as required by 40 CFR <br /> 264.34 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> L. Contingency Plan. <br /> 1. Implementation of Plan. The Permittee shall immediately carry out the provisions of the <br /> contingency plan whenever there is a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste or <br /> constituents which threatens or could threaten human health or the environment as required <br /> by 40 CFR 264.56 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> 2. Copies of Plan. The Permittee shall comply with the requirements of 40 CFR 264.53 as <br /> adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109 and NC General Statute 130A-295(d) and (g). <br /> 3. Amendments to Plan. The Permittee shall review and immediately amend, if necessary, the <br /> contingency plan, in accordance with 40 CFR 264.54 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109 <br /> and shall provide documentation that the groups listed in 40 CFR 264.53(b)have received the <br /> revised copy of the contingency plan. <br /> 4. Emergency Coordinator. The Permittee shall comply with the requirements of 40 CFR <br /> 264.55 as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109, concerning the emergency coordinator. <br /> M. Manifest System <br /> The Permittee shall comply with the manifest requirements of 40 CFR 264.71, 264.72, and 264.76 <br /> as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> II-3 <br />
