UNC Chapel Hill Permit <br /> B. Design and Operation of Facility <br /> The Permittee shall maintain and operate the facility to minimize the possibility of a fire, <br /> explosion, or any unplanned sudden or nonsudden release of hazardous waste constituents to air, <br /> soil or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> C. Off-Site Wastes <br /> The Permittee is authorized to accumulate and store hazardous waste generated on the facility site <br /> and to receive and manage waste from other sites that are owned and/or operated by the Permittee <br /> in accordance with the Application. The Permittee must immediately return all waste received <br /> from any other generator. <br /> D. General Waste Analysis <br /> The Permittee shall follow the procedures described in the waste analysis plan as indicated in Part <br /> C of the Application. Results of these analyses shall be maintained as per 40 CFR 264.13 as <br /> adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109 and as identified in Condition I.D.9. The Permittee shall verify <br /> the waste analysis as part of the quality assurance program. The quality assurance program will be <br /> in accordance with current EPA practices or equivalent methods approved by the Department, and <br /> at a minimum shall ensure that the Permittee maintains proper functional instruments, uses <br /> approved sampling and analytical methods, assures the validity of sampling and analytical <br /> procedures, and performs correct calculations. <br /> E. Security. <br /> The Permittee shall comply with the security provisions of 40 CFR 264.14(b) and (c) as adopted in <br /> 15A NCAC 13A .0109 and Part F of the Application. <br /> F. General Inspection Requirements. <br /> The Permittee shall follow the inspection schedule as described in Part F of the Application and <br /> shall comply with 40 CFR 264.15(c) and (d) as adopted in 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> G. Personnel Training <br /> The Permittee shall conduct personnel training in accordance with 40 CFR 264.16 as adopted in <br /> 15A NCAC 13A .0109 and as described in Part H of the Application. <br /> H. General Requirements for Ignitable, Reactive, or Incompatible Waste <br /> The Permittee shall comply with the requirements of 40 CFR 264.17(a), (b) and (c) as adopted in <br /> 15A NCAC 13A .0109. <br /> II-2 <br />
