Page 2 of 5 <br /> ARTICLE III - COMPOSITION 04k4, <br /> 1. Number and Qualifications <br /> The Orange County Transportation Board is composed of nine <br /> citizens of Orange County. Of the nine Board members , the following agencies <br /> will have automatic appointments: Orange County Department on Aging, Joint <br /> Orange-Chatham Community Action, O.P.C. Mental Health Center, Orange Chatham <br /> Comprehensive Health Services and Orange County Manager's office. The <br /> remaining four non-agency members shall be chosen at large by the Orange <br /> County Board of Commissioners with priority being given to one private tran- <br /> sit operator. Agencies may also select an Official Alternate. <br /> 2. Terms and Replacements <br /> All agency members of the Transportation Board shall serve two <br /> year terms beginning January 1 of calendar year. Non-agency members may not <br /> serve more than two consecutive two year terms, while agency members may <br /> serve two year terms indefinitely. <br /> 3. Vacancies <br /> All vacancies on the Transportation Board occuring from any <br /> cause shall be filled by the County Board of Commissioners . The person <br /> appointed shall serve for the unexpired portion of the term. <br /> 4 . Attendance <br /> Any member of the Board who misses more than three consecutive <br /> meetings shall lose his/her status as a member of the Board and shall be <br /> replaced by the Orange County Board of Commissioners. Following the second <br /> consecutive absence, the Secretary will notify the member in writing <br /> of the attendance policy. <br />
