116L II <br /> , j r <br /> Q3 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> CONTRACT ADDENDUM TO AUGUST 8, 1983 AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH AND ORANGE COUNTY <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this 10th day of <br /> February, 1987, and by and between the Town of Hillsborough, <br /> a municipal corporation ("The Town") and Orange County, a <br /> body politic and corporate ("The County") . <br /> WHEREAS, the Town and the County have entered into an <br /> agreement dated August 8, 1983, pursuant to which the County <br /> will furnish certain computer services to the Town; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County operates a computerized land records <br /> information system and wishes to make a terminal available <br /> for public use in the Town of Hillsborough; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town is willing to make space available for <br /> such a terminal in the Town Hall under the circumstances set <br /> forth below; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of <br /> parties premises and <br /> mutual promises set forth below, <br /> follows: <br /> 1. The Town shall provide suitable space in the <br /> Hillsborough Town Hall for the location of a <br /> terminal for the exclusive use of Orange County in <br /> connection with a land records information system. <br /> This shall be a location easily accessible to the <br /> public. The terminal shall be available for public <br /> for land records inquiry during all hours of the <br /> normal business day. The Town shall provide <br /> suitable tables, chairs, lighting, heating and <br /> cooling of space and janitorial services. The Town <br /> shall take reasonable steps to insure the safety of <br /> the equipment and provide reasonable assistance to <br /> first time users who have completed initial train- <br /> ing. This training is to be provided by the County <br /> in a Hillsborough location. Town employees are not <br /> expected to operate the terminal or produce infor- <br /> mation for the public, but are to provide assis- <br /> tance to public users. <br /> 2. The County shall provide the Town at no cost the <br /> use of one additional "port" in addition to those <br /> called for in the agreement between the parties for <br /> data processing services dated August 8, 1983. <br /> 3. The Town shall be expected to cooperate in the <br /> development, implementation, and operation of the <br /> County-wide LAND INFORMATION SYSTEM. <br />
