The property in question is located in Eno Township on the east side of Lawrence Road (SR 1709) . It is referenced as Lot 74B of Tax Map 21. The tract has direct access on Lawrence Road. It is bordered by residential development as well as undeveloped land. There is one lot proposed out of 69.18 acresr the lot size is 2.43 acres. The zoning of the property is Rural Residential (R-1) with an overlay zoning designation of Major Transportation Corridor (MTC) . The Land Use Plan designation is Rural Residential. The R-1 zoning district classification requires a minimum lot size of 40,000 square feet or .92 acre. The Health Department granted approval of the existing septic system. . Police protection would be provided by the Orange County Sheriff's Department, while fire protection would be provided by the Eno Rural Fire District. The 1984 traffic count on Lawrence Road (SR 1561) was 300 traps per day as determined north of the intersection with SR 1562. An additional 10 trips per day would be generated by the subdivision. Jacobs inquired how .the possible future widening of Lawrence Road affect the setbacks for this property.
