DRAFT PBM MINUTES s-' �=�• <br /> PAGE 7 <br /> After discussion, it was evident there was no consensus <br /> Of the Board on joint driveways but there was consensus <br /> on limited access on major roads. <br /> Lewis commented that the real problems with joint <br /> driveways are not with the surveyors or developers but <br /> with the purchasers of the lots. <br /> MOTION: Best moved to try to encourage as a planning tool t <br /> developers, surveyors and engineers joint driveways an <br /> limited access until the Thoroughfare Plan and th <br /> update of the Land Use Plan is completed. Seconded b <br /> Pilkey. <br /> Best asked Collins for his opinion of this motion. <br /> Collins responded that he was not in favor of any <br /> requirements for joint driveways until such time as the <br /> policy is defined and presented to the Board of County <br /> Commissioners and it is adopted in ordinance format. <br /> He continued that he felt joint driveways should only <br /> be considered on major roads. <br /> Eddleman offered the following as a substitute motion: <br /> The Orange County Planning Board encourages, where <br /> multiple access could impair or impede traffic flow, <br /> developers consider limited access such as joint <br /> driveways that limits such impacts. <br /> This subsitute motion was accepted. <br /> VOTE: 8 in favor. <br /> 2 opposed (Walters & Pilkey) <br /> e. Huntsman Trace-Section II <br /> (Preliminary Plat-Little River Township) <br /> Presentation by Jane Garrett <br /> The purpose of this agenda item is to consider approval <br /> of the Preliminary Plan for Huntsman Trace: Section <br /> Two, property of Harry Wilson. <br /> The property in question is located in Little River <br /> Township on the south side of Walker's Farm Road (SR <br /> 1575) . It is referenced as Lot 6 and part of Lots 5 <br /> and 9 of Tax Map 21A. An Orange County Class "B" <br /> private road (Darby Lane) will provide access to the <br /> proposed lots. The development is bordered by <br /> agricultural and residential development as well as <br /> undeveloped land. <br /> There are six (6) lots proposed out of 20.44 acres, the <br /> lot sizes are 2.85 acres, 3.63 acres, 3.54 acres, 2.6 <br /> acres, 3.33 acres and 3.25 acres excluding the rights <br />
