Immmim <br /> consideration is as follows : <br /> 03 <br /> Z-1-87 W.E. AND. BUBY a, . BLACKWOOD <br /> The property in question is located on the north side of N. C. <br /> Highway 54 West at its intersection with White Cross Road (SR <br /> 1952) . It is known as lot number 9 of Tax Map 30 , and part <br /> of lot number 13 of Tax Map 308 - Bingham Township. The <br /> property contains 87 , 120 square feet or 2.0 acres. The <br /> present zoning of the property is Rural Residential (R-1 ) . <br /> The proposed zoning classification is Local Commercial-1 <br /> (LC-1 ) . <br /> ORANGE COUNT SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS <br /> The proposed amendment to the Subdivision Regulations <br /> under consideration would revise Section IV-8-8 LANDSCAPING AND <br /> BUFFER REQUIREMENTS by changing the standards for determining the <br /> number of trees to be planted along street frontages and reducing <br /> the minimum required tree/shrub size to be installed . <br /> ELOOA DAMAGE PREVENTION QRDINANGE <br /> The proposed amendment to the Flood Damage Prevention <br /> Ordinance would make the provisions consistent with National <br /> Flood Insurance Program floodplain management criteria revisions <br /> enacted August 25 , 1986 . The criteria restrict manufactured <br /> homes (mobile homes) from flood prone areas ; require <br /> floodproofing of mechanical/utility equipment ; require fully <br /> enclosed areas subject to flooding to allow for entry and exit of <br /> floodwaters; modify requirements for certification of the lowest <br /> floor elevation ; and require the use of base flood elevation and <br /> floodway data. <br /> All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and be <br /> heard. Public comment must be received during the public <br /> hearing. Those wishing to oppose the proposals must provide <br /> competent material and substantial evidence as to the specific <br /> manner in which they are opposed to the amendments. Following <br /> the close of the public hearing , only evidence presented at <br /> public hearing will be examined by the Planning Board and Board <br /> of County Commissioners for decision. <br /> Changes may be made in the advertised proposal which reflect <br /> debate, objections and discussion at the hearing . <br /> Questions regarding the proposal should be directed to the Orange <br /> County Planning Department. Copies of the proposed full <br /> amendments are available in the Planning Department for public <br /> review. The Planning Department is located in the New <br /> Courthouse, 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough.
