AMMO <br /> 1 <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, the Towns of Carrboro and Chapel Hill and Orange County have <br /> mutual interests in land use and growth management, annexation matters, <br /> and watershed protection; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Joint Planning/Watershed Work Group including <br /> representatives of the Towns of Carrboro and Chapel Hill and Orange County <br /> has met several times since the fall of 1986 to discuss such matters; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Joint Planning/Watershed Work Group has developed an <br /> "Outline of Agreement in Principle" dated January 21, 1987 and containing <br /> 13 statements of principle; and the Joint Planning/Watershed Work Group <br /> has agreed to submit this document to the Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Orange <br /> County governing bodies for consideration, and recommends approval in <br /> concept of the 13 principles; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of <br /> Orange County hereby approves in concept the attached "Outline of <br /> Agreement in Principle" dated January 21, 1987 and including 13 <br /> principles. <br /> This the 2nd day of February, 1987. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 2 . DISSOLUTION OF EXISTING HSAC <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Carey to approve the resolution as stated below: <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> DISSOLVING HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners established the Orange County <br /> Human Services Advisory Commission by resolution on February 5, 1979; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has identified a need to renew <br /> the charge, recompose the membership, and redefine the role of the Human <br /> Services Advisory Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has approved the restructuring of <br /> the Human Services Advisory Commission, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners hereby dissolves the Human Services Advisory Commission, <br /> charge and by-laws established on February 5, 1979. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Human Services Advisory Commission <br /> is reconstituted in the form and with the charge approved by the Orange <br /> County Board of Commissioners on January 5, 1987. <br /> This the 2nd day of February, 1987. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 3 .
