RECOMMENDED RESPONSE TO CHANGES IN NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM <br /> FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT CRITERIA <br /> 1. Nan facturec7 Nome Revisions <br /> Significant changes have been made in how the regulations apply to <br /> what are now called "manufactured homes" (formerly "mobile <br /> homes") . These changes involve definition of terms an well as <br /> ordinance text changes. A portion of the definition of 'manu- <br /> factured home" is optional (as indicated below) . The remai=nilg <br /> changes are required. <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE - 1 <br /> ARTICLE 2. DEFINITIONS <br /> Delete the following definitions: <br /> "199bile Home" is a portable manufactured housing unit designed <br /> for transportation on its own chassis and placement on a temporary <br /> or semi-permanent foundation having a measurement of. over thirty- <br /> two feet in length and over eight feet in width. Mobile homes <br /> shall also mean a double-wide mobile home which is two or more <br /> portable manufactured housing units designed for transportation on <br /> their own chassis which connect on site for placement on a tem- <br /> porary or semi-permanent foundation if over thirty-two feet in <br /> length and over eight feet in width. <br /> "Existing mobile home park Q; mobile home subdivision" - means a <br /> parcel (or contiguous parcels of land) divided into two or more <br /> mobile home lots for rent or sale for which - the construction of <br /> facilities for servicing the lot on which the mobile home is to be <br /> affixed (including, at a minimum, the installation of utilities, <br /> either final site grading or the pouring of concrete pads, and the <br /> construction of streets) is completed before the effective date of <br /> the ordinance. - <br /> "Expansion of an existing_ obile hole part _ Pr mgbii„e_h ark <br /> Bubdi_vision" means the preparation of additional sites by the <br /> construction of facilities for servicing the sites on which the <br /> mobile homes are to be affixed (including the installation of <br /> utilities, either final site grading or pouring of concrete pads& <br /> or the construction of streets) . <br /> "Mobile home space" means a parcel of land occupied or intended <br /> to be occupied by one and only one mobile home, and for the <br /> exclusive use of the occupants of said mobile home. <br /> "New mobile home cwt mobile hprne su$djv r,kon" means a lot in <br /> single ownership (or contiguous parcels) proposed to be used for <br /> the placement of two or more mobile homes for use as dwelling <br /> units for which the construction of facilities for servicing the <br /> lot on which the mobile home is to be affixed (including, at a <br /> minimum, the installation of utilities, either final site grading <br /> or the pouring of concrete pads, and the construction of streets) <br />
