On <br /> January 20, 1987 the Board of County Commissioners made a bid <br /> award for an ambulance to Southeastern Emergency Equipment. The <br /> bid tabulations reveal the following bid prices: <br /> Ashley Emergency Vehicles $29,545 <br /> Frontline Emergency Vehicles 34,365 <br /> Southeastern Emergency Equipment 30,865 <br /> The Board awarded the bid to Southeastern Emergency Equipment <br /> after it determined that its bid was the lowest responsible bid, <br /> taking into consideration quality and performance. The basis for <br /> accepting the bid of Southeastern over that of Ashley (the lowest <br /> bid in absolute dollars) is stated in the minutes of the January <br /> 20, 1987 meeting of the Board, a copy of which is enclosed for <br /> your information.
