• <br /> USAir is very interested in and wishes to call upon both Southern Bell and <br /> GTE to work out arrangements for the establishment of a central exchange <br /> to serve RDU as soon as is reasonably possible because of planned and <br /> anticipated growth of the airport and the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill <br /> Triangle. <br /> Accordingly, we are most hopeful that a relatively rapid and positive <br /> response to our needs will be forthcoming from Southern Bell and GTE and <br /> that central exchange service can be provided here without delay. We are <br /> quite confident that the implementation of such service will prove to be <br /> cost beneficial to the telephone companies and certainly will be very <br /> well received and utilized by the airport users and tenants. <br /> We will greatly appreciate your favorable consideration of our request <br /> and look forward to hearing from you in this regard in the near future. <br /> For your information, we have directed a similar communication to <br /> Mr. Payton F.
