rEmm <br /> 011 Commission for Women Bylaws - page 3 <br /> irSecond Vice-Chair: shall be responsible for membership <br /> activities and perform other duties as delegated by the Chair. <br /> Article V. Committees <br /> Section 1. Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall <br /> consist of the Chair, the First Vice-Chair, the Second <br /> Vice-Chair, the immediate past Chair (who must be a <br /> current member) , and the Coordinator, who shall serve as <br /> a non-voting, ex-officio member. The Executive Committee _ <br /> shall have the authority to transact business between <br /> AMENDED meetings; make recommendations regarding the policies of <br /> the Commission; advise the Chair; provide guidance in <br /> SECTION: the development of the annual objectives; recommend. <br /> AMENDS UNDER changes in the bylaws subject to the adoption by the <br /> Commission and approval of the County Commissioners; and <br /> LINED. make recommendations to the County Commissioners for <br /> appointments to the Commission. Should a tie vote occur, <br /> the issue shall be brought before the entire Commission. <br /> All business transacted by the Executive Committee shall <br /> be reported to the Commission membership at the next <br /> regular meeting through the distribution of minutes. <br /> Section 2. Nominating Committee. The Commission Chair and two <br /> 4E: additional members recommended by the Chair shall be <br /> elected by a majority of the Commission members present <br /> at the April meeting. The Nominating Committee will <br /> present a slate recommending officers in May. This slate <br /> will be acted upon in June. <br /> Section 3. Formation of Committees. The Chair shall establish other <br /> committees as deemed necessary and appoint members and <br /> any officers to carry out the charges for which the <br /> committee was formed. <br /> Article VI. Coordinator <br /> Section 1. Duties. The Coordinator, selected and supervised by the <br /> County Manager, shall handle the daily business of the <br /> Commission; supervise office staff; prepare and present <br /> a monthly report to the Commission; prepare the annual. <br /> report and budget for submission to the County <br /> Commissioners; update the agenda when necessary; and <br /> keep members informed of current information relative to <br /> the status of women._The.__Coordinator shall be a point of <br /> contact with the private sector and government units and <br /> shall maintain a liaison with the news media and <br /> agencies affecting the status of women_ <br />
