Marshall <br /> Phone Numbers: 732-8181, 968-1i501, <br /> 227-0231 <br /> PURPOSE: To set a policy on setting of general public meetings and hearing. <br /> NEED: It is not now understood that NO general meeting advertised to hear the <br /> views of the citizens of Orange County should be set by County management or <br /> departments at a time when the Board of Commissioners as a Board is scheduled <br /> for another meeting or, as a group, will be absent from the County for County- <br /> related events. <br /> IMPACT: Commissioners will be able to hear citizen comment . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Board adopt the policy that County management and County <br /> departments will set general public meetings or public hearings only at <br /> such times as the Board of Commissioners is not regularly scheduled to meet <br /> or is not expected to be absent from the County, as a group, for County-related <br /> events. <br />
