MEMORANDUM -2- <br /> 1 . A state legislative goal embodied in a resolution <br /> ea sptedea <br /> an Annual Conference of the Association shall be <br /> the legislative policy of the organization unless it Goals changed by action of the membership at a Legs <br /> Conference or subsequent Annual Conference. <br /> 2. The wording of the legislative goal represents the Board's <br /> recommendation as to the wording of the Association's position on each <br /> issues addressed in Annual Conference Resolutions, consistent <br /> of those i - <br /> with the above policy. <br /> These g oals represent the work and recommendations an <br /> f <br /> Association's Legislative Goals Committee, as reviewed a modified <br /> the Board of Directors. The Legislative Goals Committee, co-chaired <br /> by Bob Ewing of Moore County and Mike Wilkins of Person C County, 1st <br /> four times in October and November and reviewed <br /> submitted by individual Boards of Commissioners and rthe .Ass Association's e <br /> eight affiliate organizations. The Committee also <br /> adopted prior the 1985 legislative session, recommendations of the <br /> P P <br /> Association' s Steering Committees, �,ssuesro ed at Axinual Conference. <br /> committees and, as noted, resolutions app <br /> The Legislative Goals Conference rep <br /> resents thefinal stage in <br /> ment of a set of realistic goals upon which members�ersto€generate <br /> development <br /> the Association can agree. This process is also <br /> understanding of these goals and the fissues mino lvissand is of critically <br /> important to the continuing success o <br /> Association.
