y K p <br /> 182 <br /> 4. Composition of the HSAC <br /> A. Seventeen members shall be appointed by the Board <br /> of Commissioners. The composition shall include a <br /> nominee from the following Boards/Associations: <br /> (1) Social Services, (2) Mental Health, (3) Public <br /> Health, (4) Department on Aging, (5) Orange County <br /> United Way, (6) Chapel Hill/Carrboro United Way, <br /> (7) Orange Congregations In Mission, (8) Inter- <br /> Faith Council for Social Services, (9) Board of <br /> Commissioners liaison, and eight members appoited <br /> AT LARGE to be equally divided between those who <br /> receive services (service recipient) and other <br /> Orange County citizens. <br /> B. The officers shall be a Chairperson and a Vice <br /> Chairperson. <br /> C. HSAC members shall be appointed by the Board of <br /> Commissioners for staggered three year terms so <br /> that one-third of the terms expire in January of <br /> each calendar year. Members are eligible for <br /> reappointment for a second consecutive full term. <br /> After two consecutive terms a member shall be <br /> ineligible for reappointment for one year after the <br /> expiration of the previous terms. Appointments <br /> made to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired <br /> term and shall not be counted as a term in deter- <br /> mining eligibility for reappointment. <br /> D. Officers shall be chosen annually. <br /> E. A regular meeting schedule shall be decided by the <br /> HSAC. <br /> 5. Staff Support <br /> A. The HSAC staff support shall be provided by the <br /> Assistant County Manager for Human Services and the <br /> Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. <br /> 6. Communication <br /> A. Communication and reporting shall be parallel to <br /> the lines on the attached organization chart. <br /> m <br />
