039 <br /> COMMISSIONER CAREY'S HSAC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR <br /> ADOPTIONS BY THE BOARD <br /> 1. The Human Services Advisory Commission name should not <br /> be changed to the Human Services Planning Commission. <br /> 2 . Charge of the HSAC should be limited to items A, B, C <br /> and F under the role statement recommended by the HSAC <br /> Task Force. The charge can be revised as necessary in <br /> the future to reflect an expanding role if the Board of <br /> Commissioners deem it necessary. <br /> 3 . A member of the Board of Commissioners should be <br /> appointed as a permanent liaison to the HSAC in addition <br /> to the members recommended by the HSAC Task Force. <br /> 4. The new charge of the HSAC should include a specific <br /> schedule and timetable for reports and recommendations <br /> requested by the Board of Commissioners for decision <br /> making. <br /> 5. Sufficient resources should be committed by the Board of <br /> Commissioners to achieve the work of the HSAC. If <br /> special studies/projects are requested by the Board of <br /> Commissioners, additional resources should be considered <br /> to facilitate the increased workload. <br />
