Marshall <br /> Phone Numbers: 732-8181, 968-•1.501, <br /> 227-0231 <br /> PURPOSE: Develop and approve a policy for designation of voting delegate for all <br /> NCACC and NACo meetings where a voting delegate is necessary. <br /> NEED: The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and the National <br /> Association of Counties hold various meetings where a voting delegate <br /> must be designated from each County. A policy may be considered whereby <br /> the voting delegate for Orange County would be approved by the Board for <br /> a full calendar year. This could be accomplished as an added item under <br /> Board Organization which takes place the first meeting in December each <br /> year. <br /> A legislative goals conference is scheduled for January 14-15. A. voting <br /> • <br /> delegate needs to be appointed by the Board for this conference. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: To adopt the policy and appoint Don Willhoit as voting delegate <br /> for calendar year 1987. <br />
