Margaret Lane <br /> Hillsborough , North Carolina 27278 <br /> Re: Cheeks Township Sewer Improvements <br /> Phase 1 <br /> H&S Job No. 3600 <br /> Dear Mr. Thompson : <br /> Recently Mr. Laws requested that Hazen and Sawyer redesign <br /> the gravity sewer line between Manhole Nos. 14 and 16 in <br /> Hillsborough to accommodate easement acquisition in that vicinity <br /> and also to provide a sewer service to the Sherman Greene <br /> property in Efland . <br /> Section D of our Agreement with Orange County provides that <br /> redesign efforts after approval of final drawings are eligible <br /> for payment as an Additional Service. The Scope of Service for <br /> the proposed revisions consist of the following : <br /> 1) Resurveying and easement map revisions for the gravity <br /> sewer between Manhole Nos . 14 and 16. <br /> 2) Property survey and easement map preparation for a sewer <br /> service to the Sherman Greene Property. <br /> 3) Redesign of the sewer section between Manhole Nos. 14 <br /> and 16. <br /> • Compensation for the engineering surveys and design of the <br /> sewer service to the Greene property are provided for under the <br /> percentage fee provisions of our Agreement . • <br /> We propose to provide the above services under a salary cost <br /> times a multiplier fee reimbursement arrangement as outlined in <br /> the attached Statement of Standard Charges with a cost ceiling <br /> established at $2,000, unless mutually modified by the County of <br /> Orange and Hazen and Sawyer , P . C .
