L Robert Kimball & AssoCiates completing ' <br /> Phase 2 and- a part of Phase 3, and storage and reproduction equipment <br /> for base maps already received. <br /> NEED: Phase 2 completion will provide the base .and topographic 'orthophoto ' s <br /> for Chapel Hill- Township, Phase 3 (modified) will provide aerial <br /> photography of the other Townships in the County, and the equipment <br /> for storing and reproducing the new base maps . <br /> i <br /> This s an on-going process of the Agreement between L Robert Kimball <br /> & Associates and County for a multi-year, multi-phase remapping of <br /> County to provide more accurate base and cadstral maps for all <br /> • County land offices and citizens . <br /> • <br /> IMPACT: the total cost of the workplan is* $63, 306., with funds to be provided <br /> by the County ($38,467) , State Matching Grant ($8,000) , and partici- <br /> . , pating "fair-share" agencies [Engineering Department, Town of Chapel <br /> Hill ; Planning Department, Town of Carrboro; UNC-CH] ($16,839) . The <br /> plan will complete Phase 2 topographic orthophoto ' s of Chapel Hill <br /> Township, provide ground control and aerial photography in Phase 3, <br /> and purchase map storage cabinet -and copier to store and reproduce <br /> base maps of Chapel Hill Township already received as a part of Phase 2 . <br /> This will require an additional $627 of County funds and a budget amendment will <br /> follow. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : that the Commissioners approve the workplan to complete <br /> Phase 2, the control and aerial photography portion of Phase 3, and <br /> the purchasing of necessary equipment . <br />
