Passmore, Ext. 280 <br /> PHONE mati °Rom 731.1-SB 2-.8181 — <br /> HILLSBOROUGH .w 732-.9361 <br /> NONE <br /> VAPEL HILL, - 987-9251 <br /> MEBANE - 227-2031 <br /> DURHAM 688-733 T - <br /> PURPOSE: To request approval to submit an application for Respite Care <br /> assistance funds with the Triangle J Council of Governments effective <br /> January 1, 1987 through June 30 , 1987 in the amount of $4,all.00. <br /> NEED: The County Departments of Social Services and Aging have identified <br /> a need for short-term relief for caregivers of patients they <br /> presently do not have funds to help.These are family situations <br /> where the -older/impaired member cannot be left alone because of <br /> mental or physical problems and whose income precludes coverage <br /> under North Carolina Medicaid eligibility standards. The respite <br /> care service, if funded, would be coordinated by the inter-depart- <br /> -mental Case Management Team (Social Service/Aging) and provided by <br /> the existing DSS Chore Program and Home Health Agency Aides. <br /> IMPACT: If approved, there would be a $510.00 local match requirement <br /> from Department of Social Services. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : In-Home Care Board recommended approval on November 19 , 1986 <br /> Social Services Board recommended approval on November 21, <br /> 1986 <br />
