• <br /> For purposes of this study, the indirect impact o PDK will be based <br /> upon an estimation of expenditures by business trips in the local economy. <br /> Base figuies used for this analysis were derived from a survey of pilots <br /> at the three FBO's during the periods June, 18-20 and June 2S-27. <br /> Business trips by air which result in local expenditures are considered <br /> to be transient. The Federal Aviation Administration, which operates the <br /> control tower at PDK, records aircraft operations (a departure or arrival <br /> is counted as one operation) according to two major categories -- local <br /> and itinerant. Itinerant operations are further categorized into air <br /> carrier, air taxi, general aviation and military.
