' <br /> - . • , . ..- . . . . <br /> . . . <br /> . . <br /> NEED: In the past, the County has had to rely on neighboring counties when.a <br /> rescue•unit was needed but not available, and when this was an exception <br /> . and not a pommon practice, there were no problems. However, due to substantial - <br /> increase in the number of emergency calls needing mediate dispatch, an <br /> . additional back-up unit is necessary. This will mean keeping an older unit - - <br /> in operation- and equipping it to function-as a full back-up unit manned by <br /> . . <br /> ' part-time person .nel, . . . - <br /> . , <br /> . . . <br /> . . . <br /> ... .. . .... . . <br /> . • , . - .. <br /> . . <br /> . . <br /> IMPACT: In order for EMS to begin operating an additional back-up unit, $5,200 will - <br /> be necessary to purchase a radio and $2,800 for medical supplies. Mese <br /> funds are available in the County Capital Projects Fund. <br /> ... <br /> There will be an additional impact on personnel related costs.
