However, when the contract was approved it did not <br /> include the alternate. A considerable saving would be <br /> realized from having this <br /> g type heating system. From an <br /> initial cost of $1,950 we would see a payback in three years <br /> and ongoing savings thereafter. <br /> The contract only listed the $19, 000 for the heat pump and did <br /> not show the alternate cost of $1,950 for the gas pac. <br /> IMPACT: The addition of $1,950 for the alternate would not reequire <br /> any budget amendment as funding is available within the pro- <br /> ject contingency account. <br /> { <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> Approve contract amendment to add alternate 3 to the heat and <br /> air conditioning contract. <br />
