016 <br /> Section 1 .3 Effective Date and Duration <br /> A. This agreement shall become effective on the effec- <br /> tive date of an ordinance adopted by Orange County that <br /> amends Orange County ' s Zoning Ordinance ( including Zoning <br /> Atlas) and Subdivision Ordinance as prescribed In Section 2. 1 <br /> of this agreement. <br /> B. This agreement shall remain in effect until <br /> terminated by mutual agreement or by withdrawal of Orange <br /> County or Carrboro. A party may not withdraw until it holds <br /> a public hearing on the proposed withdrawal followed by <br /> written notice to the other party within thirty (30) days of <br /> the public hearing . The withdrawal shall be effective one <br /> ( 1 ) year following receipt by the other party of the written <br /> notice <br /> ARTICLE 2. ADOPTION, ADMINISTRATION, AND <br /> AMENDMENT OF STANDARDS <br /> Section 2. 1 Standards Within Urban Transition Area. <br /> A . Upon County adoption of the Land Use Plan for the <br /> Joint Planning Area, Carrboro shall prepare a Zoning Map for <br /> the Urban Transition Areas which, upon approval and adoption <br /> as prescribed in Subsection B of this Section, shall become <br /> part of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance , The Zoning Map <br /> shall be prepared using zoning districts which correspond to <br /> the text of the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance and which corres <br /> pond with the density designations and plan classifications <br /> as prescribed in the adopted Land Use Plan for the CJDA <br /> B . Upon completion of the Zoning Map referred to in <br /> Section 2. 1 A above, Orange County shall amend its Zoning <br /> Atlas in accordance with said Map to zone areas within that <br /> portion of the Urban Transition Area that lies within <br /> Carrboro s JDA. Orange County shall also adopt by reference <br /> the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance and make its provisions <br /> applicable only to that portion of the Urban Transition Area <br /> located within Carrboro ' s JDA <br /> fi <br /> Section 2.2 Standards Outside Carrboro ' s Urban Transition <br /> Area <br /> Within that portion of the Joint planning area that lies <br /> outside the Urban Transition Area the Orange County Zoning <br /> Ordinance ( including zoning atlas ) and Subdivision Ordinance <br /> that are in effect on the effective date of this agreement <br /> shall remain in effect until modified in accordance with <br /> Section 2.6 of this agreement . Current zoning districts are <br /> shown as Exhibit A. <br /> Section 2. 3 Permit Administration Within Urban Transition <br /> Zone <br /> 2- . <br />
