In March of this year <br /> the Board of Commissioners adopted an ordinance which would <br /> require existing mobile home parks to comply with new <br /> standards for mobile home parks. On April 7. the Board of <br /> Commissioners placed a moratorium on the enforcement of the <br /> new standards as they applied to existing mobile home parks. <br /> The moratorium was placed into effect pending a review of <br /> the standards by the Planning W'oard. <br /> The Planning Board Ordinance Review Committee conducted a <br /> public meeting on July 31. 1986 for the purpose of receiving <br /> public comment. Two issues emerged at the Committee <br /> meeting: (1) the *retro-active" nature of the ordinance; and <br /> (2) the standards. Spokes" en for the group present asked <br /> that the provisions - Article 6.21.1 a) 2) be rescinded. <br /> The Ordinance Review Committee of the Planning Board as well <br /> • as the full Planning ¢ ward recommended that a public hearing <br /> be held this date to consider deletion of Article 6 .21.1 a) <br /> 2) of the Zoning Ordinance. The provision requires each <br /> mobile home park to be improved in accordance with Subsec- <br /> tion 7 .20.4a) which contains the new design standards for <br /> mobile home parks. The design standards include a 10.000 <br /> square foot space per mobile home unit. setbacks for each <br /> mobile home unit from lot lines of that mobile home space <br /> which are 25' on the front and 10' on the sides and rear. <br /> a 180 square foot patio or deck and also improvement of the <br />
