Concerns have. identi- <br /> fled by mobile home park owner/operators and residents about <br /> the application of design standards In Article 6.21 . 1a)2) and <br /> requested deletion of the Article from the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Removal from the Ordinance would "grandfather" existing parks, <br /> excluding them from the application of new design standards. <br /> The provisions related to handicapped parking facilities stem <br /> from a concern that no requirements for such facilities exist <br /> in the Zoning Ordinance . If provided, handicapped parking can <br /> only be required' presently through conditions of approval, <br /> attached to subdivisions and planned developments, and through <br /> application of State Building Code requirements. <br /> IMPACT: The proposed text amendments, if approved, would exclude exist- <br /> ing mobile home parks from complying with new design standards <br /> for mobile home parks and would require new development to <br /> provide off-street parking faciliities for handicapped persons . . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Board recommends approval of the proposed <br />
