Town and County Managers. Differences between <br /> the Chapel Hill and Orange County ordinances <br /> include the following: <br /> 01b- <br /> 1. Provisions applicable in University Lake <br /> watershed have been deleted from the Chapel <br /> Hill ordinance. <br /> 2. Under the Chapel Hill ordinance, appeals are <br /> to the Town Engineer, Planning Board, Town <br /> Council , and N.C. Sedimentation Control <br /> Commission (NCSCC) , respectively. Appeals <br /> within the County's jurisdiction are to the <br /> Planning Director, Planning Board, ;oard of <br /> Commissioners, and NCSCC, re:pectively. <br /> 3 . Review of and comment on erosion control <br /> plans will be sought from the Durham County <br /> Soil and Water Conservation District where <br /> projects are to be constructed in the Durham <br /> County portion of Chapel Hill . Review and <br /> comment is required only from the Orange <br /> District in the County ordinance. <br /> 4 . Under the Chapel Hill ordinance, the Orange <br /> County Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control <br /> Officer is responsible for enforcement of the <br /> ordinance unless the Town appoints, employs <br /> or contracts with another individual. Under <br /> the County ordinance, the SE and S Officer is <br /> responsible for ordinance enforcement without <br /> qualification. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve and execute the agreement. <br />
