• <br /> 18L • <br /> Dear Property Owner: <br /> The Orange County Planning Department is conducting an <br /> area study on the 1 -40 corridor. The corridor is an area two <br /> miles wide centered on 1 -40 and runs from the 1 -85 inter- <br /> change southwest of Hillsborough to the Durham County line. <br /> Areas inside the town limits and extraterritorial planning <br /> Jurisdictions of Chapel Hill and Hillsborough are not in- <br /> cluded ( see attached map) . <br /> The survey is only the first step in inviting public <br /> participation into the planning process . Public meetings and <br /> hearings on a development plan and alternatives for the <br /> corridor will begin after the questionnaires have been <br /> returned and the results tabulated . You will be notified of <br /> these meetings by announcements in the news media. <br /> This questionnaire should take less than fifteen minutes <br /> to finish . We would appreciate it very much if you would <br /> take the time to complete the survey and return it to the <br /> Orange County Planning Department, Comprehensive Division, <br /> 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
