RETURN RECEIPT E Rl~t 1IL ES' TED <br /> Durham, NC 27712 • <br /> SUBJECT: Notice of Non-compliance <br /> Unlawful Discharge <br /> Turner Trucking Company <br /> Orange .County <br /> Dear Mr. Turner:On May 5, 1986, Mr. Jack Floyd of the Raleigh Regional Office visited <br /> the subject facility in reference to a complaint of the discharge of oil <br /> and washwater. ' There was visible evidence of wash:tater pooling along the <br /> property with a degree of petroleum noted in the washwater. At the tine of <br /> inspection, several vehicles were being washed. Based on the visible evidence <br /> 'of -washwater being discharged onto the land and possibly washing into the <br /> - surface waters of the State, this facility is in non-compliance with the - <br /> following North Carolina General Statutes: <br /> 143-215.1 - discharge without permit <br /> 143-215.83 - discharge of oil <br /> You are hereby requested to cease immediately all discharge of oil and <br /> washwater which drains into or is likely to reach the surface waters of the <br /> State. In order to continue present businc:s practices, a collection softie <br /> must be installed to prevent any further discharges. Stich collection systems <br /> must be permitted by this Division. <br /> • <br /> You are requested to respond in writing within fifteen (15) days of <br /> receipt of this letter stating your intentions to correct this situation. - <br /> If you have any questions, please call Hr.
