P-89, SUB 23 <br /> Dear Ms. Webster: <br /> In the Commission's Order dated August 11, 1986, each Respondent <br /> Company in Docket No. P-89, Sub 23 was ordered to reply separately to <br /> the original Complaint filed on July 11, 1986 to the extent that the <br /> requested information was not contained in the joint response filed <br /> May 20, 1986. General Telephone Company of the South has reviewed the <br /> Order and it is felt that the joint reply adequately covered the events <br /> and actions taken in connection with this Complaint. The joint response <br /> • represents a more in-depth response than General could have provided <br /> individually since General provides only access capacity, under tariff, <br /> to AT&T-C for Central Telephone Company' s Hillsborough Office. <br /> General Telephone Company of the South is restricted, by Federal Order, <br /> in its participation in the toll environment. General cannot separately <br /> develop contingency or diversity toll plans, nor can it individually <br /> implement such plans. Any such plan(s) would need to be the responsibil- <br /> ity of AT&T--C in concert with the involved local exchange companies. <br /> General has taken action to implement the ordered INTRALATA DDD comple- <br /> tion test calls from Durham into Hillsborough. The testing program will <br /> begin September 1, 1986 and continue through February, 1987.
