Commissioners for comment and concurrence in the <br /> recommended alternative prior to proceeding to Phase 2 <br /> of the study. <br /> Phase 2 <br /> Phase 2 of the study will not be undertaken until <br /> authorized by the County . This phase of the work will <br /> consist of developing additional site specific engineering <br /> and cost information for the recommended alternative . <br /> Additional preliminary engineering studies will be <br /> undertaken to refine project concepts with emphasis given to <br /> more accurately defining the nature and scope of the <br /> required construction and the associated construction cost . <br /> Specific tasks to be performed include the following : <br /> 1 . Aerial topographic mapping of the recommended dam site , <br /> if applicable . <br /> 2 . A geological site reconnaissance and limited subsurface <br /> investigation to determine the geophysical <br /> characteristics of the site . <br /> 3 . Preparation of more detailed preliminary site layouts <br /> and construction cost estimates . <br /> 4 . A final report will be prepared summarizing the results <br /> of the additional studies performed during Phase 2 . <br /> ARTICLE II SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED <br /> The engineering services to be performed under this Agreement <br /> are divided into two parts as follows : <br /> Page 5 of 11 <br />
