WITNESSETH , that the parties hereto do mutually agree as <br /> follows : <br /> ARTICLE I - DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED <br /> The engineering services to be performed under this <br /> Agreement can generally be divided into two phases . The first <br /> phase will consist of a feasibility study to determine the most <br /> appropriate alternative for meeting the long-term water supply <br /> needs of Orange County . The second phase will consist of <br /> developing additional site specific engineering and cost data for <br /> the alternative recommended during Phase 1 . Specific tasks to be <br /> performed during each phase are as follows : <br /> Phase 1 <br /> 1 . Population and water use projections will be developed <br /> for a planning period of 30 to 40 years . Population <br /> and water use projections developed by other <br /> governmental agencies will be obtained and reviewed to <br /> establish a complete data base for determining future <br /> water needs . <br /> 2 . Utilizing existing sources , data will be collected <br /> concerning the existing land- use features , historic <br /> structures and sites , geology , soils , climatology , <br /> socioeconomic characteristics , water and biological <br /> resources , and point and non - point sources of <br /> pollution . <br /> 3 . Using existing topographic information , potential <br /> reservoir sites in the upper Eno basin will be <br /> Page 2 of 11 <br />
