RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS Ervin Taylor has recently retired after ten years <br /> as 4-H agent, and <br /> WHEREAS Ervin Taylor has worked among and with all young <br /> people in the County, and <br /> WHEREAS Ervin Taylor has served as a role model for both <br /> black and white male youths, and <br /> WHEREAS the citizens of Orange County who have worked <br /> closely with Ervin Taylor, and <br /> WHEREAS the citizens of Orange County who have had children <br /> grow and flourish under his leadership, and <br /> WHEREAS the Orange County Social Services Board recognizes <br /> the source of support to our clients Ervin Taylor <br /> has been in the role of model, and <br /> WHEREAS a majority of members of the Orange County Social <br /> Services Board have been since early spring in- <br /> volved with representatives of the Board of Comm- <br /> issioners and the Health Board meeting regularly <br /> with concerned citizens and representatives of <br /> relevant agency boards and staff, as well as <br /> department heads and supervisors, including <br /> Economic Development, Recreation and Parks, Health <br /> and Agricultural Extension to join forces and to <br /> explore ways in which existing Orange County <br /> agencies can better serve the occupation-oriented <br /> and recreational needs of teens in order to <br /> postpone young parenthood, encourage teens to <br /> finish their education and prepare teens for and <br /> help them find suitable and satisfying employment, <br /> THEREFORE The Orange County Social Services Board hereby <br /> RESOLVES to request the Agricultural Extension <br /> Agency and the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> under their Memorandum of Understanding to: <br /> 1. employ a replacement for Ervin Taylor who <br /> matches Ervin Taylor's special qualifications as <br /> exactly as possible, and <br /> 2. advertise the vacancy and make the replacement <br /> as soon as possible. <br />
