Per our conversation, we have updated the <br /> scope of services contained in our May 1983 proposal as well as <br /> our estimate of related fees. <br /> As we understand your thoughts, this study would bring <br /> together previous reports by other engineers in the State of <br /> North Carolina and in general encompass the following: <br /> - Determine the feasibility and cost of constructing a new <br /> reservoir in the Upper Eno River Basin. At a minimum, <br /> consideration would be given to the Seven Mile Creek site <br /> and expansion of the existing Corporation Lake. <br /> - Determine the feasibility of utilizing Jordan Lake as an <br /> alternative to construction of a new reservoir including <br /> the possibility for creation of a regional system with <br /> costs and benefits shared by the benefactors. <br /> - Consider alternative methods of financing the proposed <br /> construction including a preliminary assessment of user <br /> fees. <br /> We have presented our scope of services (expanded from the <br /> May 1983 proposal) and fee estimates in our proposed engineering <br /> agreement as a matter of convenience and expedience (draft copy <br /> enclosed for your review and comments) .
