ATTACHMENT 43 <br /> 104 <br /> C.A.T. Driver Certification <br /> All drivers of C.A.T. vehicles, whether short -term or daily <br /> lease use of vehicles, must be certified and on a CAT Driver approval <br /> list before allowed to operate any CAT vehicles. <br /> CAT Driver Certification procedure is as follows: <br /> 1. The C.A.T. Supervisor, employed by the Dept. on Aging, <br /> will be responsible for the certification of all CAT <br /> Drivers and maintain driver approval list. <br /> 2. Minimum qualifications for driver certification for <br /> various type/size vehicles - available. <br /> A. Fifteen (15) Passenaer Vans <br /> (1) Must have a Class H license in force. <br /> (2) A good driving record (verified by DMV) . <br /> (3) A short road test on the operation of van <br /> and any special equipment (lift, etc) . <br /> (4) A check-out conference covering emergency/ <br /> accident procedures, and forms, and gas <br /> purchase/or fillup procedures and required <br /> CAT transportation forms . <br /> B. Minibus (24) Passenger <br /> - (1) Must have a Class B license in force. <br /> (2.) A good driving record, (verified by DMV) <br /> (3) Adequate past experience driving a minibus <br /> approved by CAT supervisor or have passed <br /> the Bus driving school offered by the public <br /> schools. <br /> (CAT Supervisor will make arrangements for <br /> interested persons) . <br /> (4) A short road test on the operation bus and <br /> any special equipment (lift, etc. ) . <br /> (5) A check-out conference covering emergency/ <br /> accident procedures , and forms, gas purchase/ <br /> or fillup procedures and required CAT <br /> transportation forms . <br /> C. Large Field Trip Bus (32 Passencer) <br /> (1) Must meet all above requirements for CAT ' <br /> minibus driver. <br /> (2) Must be employed by Orange County as a <br /> Bus Driver. <br />
