County planning population figures <br /> show approximately 45000 persons listed within the County. Based on these <br /> figures the ratio of calls for service countywide -is ,32 per person. Countywide, <br /> the Sheriff's Department served 9,404 civil and criminal papers fora ratio of <br /> .21 papers per persons countywide. <br /> • <br /> The proposed Heartwood Development is in an an undeveloped oped area, therefore, <br /> a countywide average must be applied. - - <br /> Figures furnished by Spence Dickinson,. Lynn Dickinson and John Hartley <br /> indicate 78 new homes to be constructed. An average of 23 persons will occupy <br /> these new homes with a total population of 179 persons, . <br /> Based on a countywide average, 179: persons will generate (179x.32 57.a) <br /> 57.2 calls for service, using an average.:. of 45 minutes per call for a•total <br /> of 42.9 manhours for one year. . <br /> Based on a countywide average, 179 persons will generate (179x.21-37.5) <br /> papers served, using an average of 45 minutes per paper for a total of 28.1. <br /> manhours per year. <br /> 42.9 Manhours for Calls for Service <br /> 28.1 Manhours for Paper Service <br /> 71.0 Total Manhours for the Heartwood Subdivision - - <br /> For One Year. <br /> The addition of this proposed project and the projected 71 manhours will <br /> not by itself, cause a significant impact on the ability of. the Orange County <br /> Sheriff's Department to provide service for this area, however, this combined <br /> with other proposed projects in this area, could cause the need for additional <br /> manpower to maintain current level of service. <br />
