Shetley was opposed . <br /> Gordon then made the following motion with reference to <br /> points 1 , 2, and 3 which was seconded by Dickinson: <br /> Point 1 - No comment <br /> Point 2 - Include the statement "Leave Blackwood <br /> Station as a Rural Neighborhood Activity <br /> Node." <br /> Point 3a- Agree <br /> Point 3b- Do not call for public acquisition until we <br /> have results of the further study on the <br /> proposed landfill . <br /> Point 3c- No comment- <br /> The vote was unanimous . <br /> Gordon then made the following motion in reference to points <br /> 4 and 5 which was seconded by Pelland: <br /> Point 4 -- No comment <br /> Point 5 - Agree <br /> The vote was unanimous. <br /> The resolution adopted by the Carrboro Board of Aldermen <br /> contained the following points which were also considered <br /> individually: <br /> 1 ) That the proposal for a commercial and industrial <br /> transitional node on Homestead Road be withdrawn <br /> and that the area be proposed for residential <br /> development. <br /> 2) That the proposal for an office- institutional node <br /> at Rogers Road be withdrawn and that the area be <br /> proposed for residential development. <br /> 3) That the constraint system proposed for determining <br /> permissible intensity of development be modified by <br /> limiting the constraint for vegetated areas to only <br /> areas whose vegetation is (a) mature and wooded, or <br /> (b) indicative of a wetland area. Also, that <br /> relief from the constraint system be allowed for <br /> land within 500 feet of the Northern Loop to allow <br /> additional densities to Justify mass transit and <br /> that a wooded buffer be retained along all ar- <br /> terials . <br /> 4) That sewer lines be allowed in the University Lake <br /> Watershed; that government continue the present <br />
