Gwyn <br /> Frances Shetley - <br /> PLANNING STAFF: Gene Bell . <br /> Brad Torgan <br /> VISITORS: Mrs. Bennett <br /> Agenda items discussed and major comments related to them <br /> were as follows: <br /> 1 ) DALLIDARDER - A quorum was established at 7:37 and <br /> Kirk Pelland called the meeting to order. <br /> 2) CONJJDE L.IQ AGENDA -- None <br /> 3) CHAIR COMMENTS - None <br /> 4) IAIJON - Kirk Pelland recognized Brad <br /> Torgan, Planning Intern, for a presentation on "An <br /> Inventory of Sites of Cultural , Historical , <br /> Recreational , Biological , and Geological Significance in <br /> the Unincorporated Portions of Orange County." It was <br /> explained that the inventory would be going to public <br /> hearing on August 25 as an amendment to the Land Use <br /> Plan . <br /> Torgan began by stating that the inventory differed <br /> somewhat from traditional land use planning studies in <br /> that the recommendations were site-specific as opposed <br /> to area specific. He mentioned some of the benefits in <br /> officially recognizing these sites; in particular, he <br /> mentioned the importance of cemeteries as a link to the <br /> past since there was no vital records law prior to <br /> 1910. He said his purpose in coming before the TAC was <br /> to ask: <br /> - Had he focused on the right things? <br /> - Had he missed anything? <br /> - Were there errors in the inventory? <br /> Professor Gwyn asked if there wasn 't a state law that <br />
