-3- <br /> Manager's Recommendation: We concur with the Planning Board's <br /> recommendation, with the following exceptions: <br /> 1. The area around Star Point should be shown as <br /> suburban residential, instead of rural buffer. <br /> 2. At the 1-40/NC 86 interchange, all areas north and <br /> east of I--40 should be a part of the rural buffer. <br /> 3. The area north of Eubanks Road, between the <br /> existing landfill and I-40, should be shown as <br /> office-institutional, with an emphasis on mixed <br /> use, excluding industrial use. <br /> 4. The future landfill site should be labeled <br /> "potential landfill -- pending further study." <br /> The Manager's recommendation is illustrated on the attached <br /> maps. <br />
