1986-'87 CAPITAL PROJECTS PROPOSAL <br /> 154 <br /> The following report presents a brief synopsis of new capital <br /> projects being funded for the first time in this budget, as <br /> well as a brief status report on multi-year projects likewise <br /> being funded in the 1986-87 budget. <br /> RENOVATIONS/MAINTENANCE <br /> 1. AGRICULTURE BUILDING AND NEW COURTHOUSE BASEMENT <br /> Appropriation Amount: $25,000 <br /> This project is necessitated to make the space <br /> suitable for the offices being moved following <br /> completion of the County Annex Renovation Project <br /> (Carr Building) . <br /> Although plans are by no means final, it is the <br /> intent to move Data Processing, the Court <br /> Counselor, Probation and Community Development <br /> offices to the Agriculture Building. <br /> The basement of the New Courthouse will require <br /> space currently occupied by the Planning staff to <br /> be arranged more appropriately for use by Courts <br /> personnel. <br /> This project's target date for completion is July <br /> 1, 1987. It is estimated this project will require <br /> only 90 days construction time, but must begin <br /> after offices have been moved to the Renovated <br /> County Annex, targeted for March, 1987. <br /> 2. COUNTY ANNEX <br /> Appropriation Amount: $230 ,000 in 1985-86 budget, <br /> $214,116 in 1986-87 budget <br /> bringing to date a total <br /> appropriation to $338,866 for <br /> renovation and $106,250 for <br /> lease purchase. <br /> The 1986-'87 appropriation provides the funds necessary <br /> to complete the renovation of the County Annex, as well <br /> as provides funds to cover the $106,250 for the first <br /> two years lease purchase payments. The balance <br /> remaining on the lease/purchase agreement is $112 ,500 <br /> to be appropriated in equal increments in the 1987 and <br /> the 1988 fiscal year budgets . <br /> Bids on this project have been taken and construction is <br /> due to start by September 1, with a February 27 targeted <br /> completion date. <br /> Upon completion of this project the Planning, <br /> Environmental Health, Soil and Water, Agriculture <br /> Extension, Forestry and FmHA departments will be moved <br /> to occupy the renovated space.
