ji <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS <br /> ORDINANCE: SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS <br /> REFERENCE: SECTION III - E FINAL PLAT <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: X STAFF PLANNING BD . _BOCC <br /> PUBLIC OTHER <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION : X HIGH MIDDLE LOW <br /> COMMENT: To bring the ordinance provisions into <br /> compliance with the General Statutes . <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: AUGUST 26, 1986 <br /> ********************** <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: The proposed amendment would bring the <br /> provisions of the Orange County <br /> Subdivision Regulations into compli- <br /> ance with the North Carolina Uniform <br /> Plat Law . <br /> ISSUES/ IMPACTS: The proposed amendment would replace <br /> the current provisions for plat <br /> dimensions with a minimum/maximum <br /> provision . The amendment would <br /> eliminate confusion between the <br /> regulations/requirements of the <br /> Planning Department and the Register <br /> of Deeds/Land Records departments . <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISiON (S) : <br /> SECTION III - E - 5 a . Final Plats shall be drawn <br /> in waterproof ink on satisfactory <br /> reproducable material on sheets of <br /> the following sizes: either ( a) 21 " <br /> x 30" , ( b ) 12" x 18" or (c) 18" x <br /> 24" . When more than one sheet is <br /> required to include the entire <br /> subdivision , all sheets shall be of <br /> the same size and shall show appro- <br /> priate match marks on each sheet and <br /> appropriate references to other <br /> sheets of the subdivision . The scale <br /> of the plat shall be at one ( 1 ) inch <br /> equals one-hundred ( 100 ) feet, or one <br /> ( 1 ) inch equals fifty (50 ) feet, <br /> whichever is most appropriate in the <br /> determination of the Planning <br /> Department . <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT ( S ) : <br />
