BOCC <br /> ___ PUBLIC OTHER <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION:.__X HIGH MIDDLE LOW <br /> COMMENT: TO ADDRESS AN ADMINISTRATIVE GAP IN <br /> THE ORDINANCE <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: MAY 27, 1986 <br /> *****************- **** <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: To require a pre-application <br /> conference for special use permit <br /> applications . <br /> ISSUES/ IMPACTS: A pre-application conference would allow <br /> staff and advisory agencies to review and <br /> comment on special use permit applications <br /> prior to the expenditure of considerable <br /> amounts of time, financial resources and <br /> design efforts in a proposed development. <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISION( S) : NONE <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT( S ) : Pre-Application Conference <br /> The applicant must request a pre <br /> application meeting with the Orange <br /> County Planning Department to discuss <br /> the proposed development . A sketch <br /> plan illustrating the location, size <br /> and major design elements of the <br /> development of the site must be <br /> submitted five (5 ) working days prior <br /> to the pre--application meeting. The <br /> Planning Department may request that <br /> representatives of other public <br /> agencies be present at the pre-- <br /> application meeting . These agencies <br /> shall include, but not be limited to, <br /> the Orange County Planning Board , the <br /> Orange County Recreation Department, <br /> the Orange County Health Department, <br /> the municipalities of Chapel Hill , <br /> Carrboro, Hillsborough and Durham, <br /> the North Carolina Department of <br /> Transportation and OWASA . <br />
