PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> ORDINANCE: Subdivision Regulations <br /> ®REFERENCE: Article IV-B-7-b Recreation Areas <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT:_X....Staff planning Board BOCC Public <br /> Other: Planning Board Chair/Planning <br /> Director <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION:_x_High Middle Low <br /> COMMENT: <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: May 27, 1986 <br /> ******************************** <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: To provide for the dedication of public <br /> recreation lands and/or payment in lieu by new subdivision <br /> developments. <br /> IMPACTS/ ISSUES: Section IV-B-7-b of the Subdivision Regulations <br /> contains no provisions which would require the dedication of <br /> public recreation and/or open space lands . Recreation areas can <br /> be required under Article 5 . 1 . 1 of the Zoning Ordinance but only <br /> in high density ( five units per acre or greater) projects. The <br /> proposed ordinance amendment would require the dedication of such <br /> lands if park and/or open space areas are designated for the <br /> property on the, Land Use Plan . The amendment would require a <br /> payment in lieu if no such designations were shown . Payment in <br /> lieu would be determined by the fair market value as ascertained <br /> from tax records.
