THOMPSON, COUNTY MANAGER <br /> DATE: JULY 3, 1986 <br /> SUBJECT: PLANNING/ INSPECTION FEE SCHEDULES <br /> As part of the 1986-87 budget proposal . a new schedule <br /> of planning/ inspection fees was proposed . The proposal was based <br /> on Increases which occurred In the Consumer Price index since <br /> 1981 , the year of adoption of the current fee schedule. <br /> At my request, the Planning Director has compiled <br /> Information regarding the fee schedules of surrounding <br /> . Jurisdictions . He has revised the original proposal In vlew .of <br /> the additional data. The new proposal would result in combined <br /> departmental revenues of $350,590 . The additional revenue of <br /> $60, 109 above that anticipated from the original fee increase <br /> proposal could be used to fund two (2) additional positions <br /> within the Planning Department .- - a Code Enforcement Officer <br /> ( $25, 167 ) and another Planner II ( $25, 167 ) . for the Current <br /> Planning Division . The remaining funds of , $9,775 could be <br /> applied to the purchase of a . vehicle and furniture for the <br /> positions. <br /> The revised fee schedule proposal and supporting <br /> documentation is attached . <br /> Kenneth R.
