Everett Billingsley, Executive Director of OWASA, pointed out that deep watering once a week is better than watering every day and that exceptions do not generally work. Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Carey to approve the Water Conservation Ordinance as corrected and presented by the County Manager. VOTE: UNANIMOUS. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADDITIONAL 1/2 CENT SALES TAX Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Carey to schedule a public hearing for July 23, 1986, 7: 30 p.m. in the Courtroom of the old Post Office in Chapel Hill for the purpose of receiving public comments on the levying of the additional 1/2 percent local sales and use tax. VOTE: UNANIMOUS. VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE NCACC CONFERENCE Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Carey to elect Chair Don Willhot as the Orange County voting delegate for the NCACC Conference. VOTE: UNANIMOUS. PLANNING/INSPECTION FEE, SCHEDULES (A copy of the schedule is in the permanent agenda file in the Clerk's Office) .
