054 <br /> SECTION II: TIME OP COMPLETION <br /> THAT the Contractor agrees to start the demolition, lot clearance and <br /> hauling services outlined in SECTION I of this Contract upon receipt of a <br /> written Proceed Order from the County and will complete all work within <br /> thirty (30) working days after the date specified in <br /> the Proceed Order as the beginning time for the demolition, lot clearance and <br /> hauling services. <br /> In the event unforeseen delays as determined by the County cause this <br /> performance deadline to be exceeded, the County and the Contractor shall <br /> establish a mutually agreeable extension which shall be negotiated and in- <br /> corporated as an addendum to this agreement. Time is of the essence, and it <br /> is agreed that any delay beyond the time specified for completion stipulated <br /> herein shall result in the Contractor being charged with liquidated damages <br /> for delay in the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) a day for each day beyond the <br /> limit agreed upon. <br /> SECTION III: CONTRACT AMOUNT <br /> THAT for the services rendered under SECTION I of this Contract by the <br /> Contractor, the County shall pay the Contractor a sum of $ 7,900.00 <br /> ( Seven thousand nine hundred Dollars and _ no Cents) <br /> upon the completion of the services described in this Contract. There will <br /> be a 10% retaining fee which will be held 60 days after the final inspection. <br /> This payment shall be made to the Contractor by the County subject to a <br /> joint inspection of the work sites by the County and the Contractor to insure <br /> adequate performance of the provisions of this agreement and the receipt of <br /> an appropriate invoice from the Contractor. <br /> The County may change the services to be performed by the Contractor if <br /> it deems it necessary to do so because of budget constraints or a change in <br /> -4- <br />
