NORTH CAROLINA AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE PRIVATE INDUSTRY <br /> DURHAM COUNTY COUNCIL/CHIEF ELECTED OFFICIALS <br /> This is an Amendment to an Agreement between the Central <br /> Piedmont Employment and Training Private Industry Council <br /> (hereinafter "Council") and the Chief Elected Officials (or <br /> authorized signatory officials) as authorized representatives of <br /> the County of Durham, County of Orange and City of Durham <br /> (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Chief Elected <br /> Officers") . The date of this Amendment is June 23 <br /> 1986 . <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, on June 29 , 1984, the Council and Chief Elected <br /> Officials entered into an Agreement pertaining to, among other <br /> things , the development and implementation of a job training plan <br /> pursuant to the Job Training Partnership Act (hereinafter <br /> "Agreement" ) ; the Agreement is incorporated herein by reference; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Council and Chief Elected Officials have each <br /> agreed to an Amendment to Agreement, as set forth in this <br /> instrument; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , the Council and Chief Elected Officials <br /> agree as follows: <br /> 1 . The June 30 , 1986 expiration date provided for in <br /> Section VI of the Agreement is hereby extended for a period of <br /> two years to and including June 30 , 1988 . <br /> 2.
