RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF DURHAM <br /> COUNTY TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CENTRAL PIEDMONT EMPLOYMENT AND <br /> TRAINING CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT WITH ORANGE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF DURHAM <br /> FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXTENDING THE TERMINATION DATE TO JUNE 30, 1988. <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Co <br /> egress enacted the Job Training Partner- <br /> ship Act in order to provide job training and employment opportunities for <br /> economically disadvantaged and unemployed persons; and <br /> WHEREAS, under the Act units of local governments are encouraged to <br /> form consortia to carry out employment and training services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Counties of Durham, and Orange and the City of Durham <br /> have formed such a Consortium; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chairman is authorized to execute all documents on <br /> behalf of the County for Job Training Partnership Act purposes; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE DURHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS: <br /> The Chairman is directed to execute an amendment to the Central <br /> Piedmont Employment And Training Consortium Agreement for the purpose of <br /> extending the termination date to June 30, 1988. <br /> BY ORDER OF THE DURHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> THIS THE 23rd DAY OF JUNE , 1986. <br />
