" This document contains <br /> legislation approved by the Board which would authorize <br /> Orange County to implement impact fees. Per our <br /> conversation on March 10, 1987, you will transmit this <br /> to our legislative delegation to be presented by the <br /> delegation to the General Assembly as a local act. As <br /> I mentioned to you on March 10, I expect the County <br /> will request additional legislation, either local or <br /> general, to fully implement the joint planning process. <br /> I met Wednesday (March 11, 1987) with Mike Brough and <br /> Ralph Karpinos to review our needs in this regard. <br /> Mike Brough is preparing the first draft of the <br /> legislative package necessary for joint planning. My <br /> hope is that this will be ready for Board consideration <br /> on March 24. In that regard the General Assembly has <br /> not established a deadline for the introduction of <br /> local acts. <br /> When transmitting the impact fee legislation to <br /> our legislative delegation, I recommend you inform its <br /> members that the County held a public hearing on its <br /> request for authorization to impose impact fees . I <br /> also recommend you send a copy of the minutes of. the <br />
